Other costs

Enquiry on Results

If you believe your score may be incorrect, you can request an Enquiry on Results (EOR). This means one or more test sections are re-marked.

British Council Uzbekistan, current EOR fee1,343,000 UZS
  • If your score increases in any section you asked to have re-marked, the EOR fee is refunded.
  • The result can be ready on the same day, but it may take up to 21 days, depending on the case and the number of sections requested.
TipCheck your own provider's current EOR fee and procedure before applying.

One Skill Retake

Eligible computer-test candidates may be able to retake just one skill: Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking.

  • You can take one One Skill Retake per original full IELTS test.
  • It must normally be completed within 60 days of the original test.
  • The price can change, so check it on the booking page of British Council Uzbekistan or IDP IELTS.
RuleBefore paying, check whether the university, employer or immigration authority receiving your result accepts One Skill Retake.

Cancellation and transfer costs

  • Changing or cancelling a booking can cost an administration charge.
  • British Council standard IELTS currently uses a 25% administration charge in several cancellation and late-transfer situations.
  • IDP Uzbekistan's published cancellation policy also refers to a 25% administration fee for qualifying cancellations.
RuleRead the policy of the provider you actually booked with. Do not assume the other provider uses the same deadline.

Test-fee reimbursement in Uzbekistan

Some Uzbek candidates may be able to get back the cost of their IELTS test through a government-supported reimbursement programme. The British Council's current guidance says that applicants must:

  • be a citizen of Uzbekistan
  • be under 30 years old
  • achieve an overall IELTS band score of 7.0 or higher
  • have taken IELTS through an official provider

Applications are made through the Xazna mobile app.
